| | ouroborus | Apr 29, 5:12pm | Occasionally a page is given the wrong language. (ie: listed as English when it's really Russian.) Of course there is the option to report wrong languages. But (for me, at least) it's difficult to determine what language the page is really in.
Anyway, I was thinking it'd be great if there was a service that could tell you what language a page is in. I haven't found such a thing but I did come across the Google AJAX Language API ( code.google.com/apis/ajaxlanguage/ [code.google.com/apis/ajaxlanguage/] ) which seems to be capable of this.
Anyway, any chance somebody could tie into this via a Firefox addon? Or maybe somebody knows of an addon that already does this? (Of course it'd be even better if StumbleUpon just detected the language properly in the first place.) |
